Libni Steven Reyes was born and raised in Plainfield and became a homeowner in North Plainfield seven years ago. His extended family has strong ties to the community and so he participated in North Plainfield life even before he officially moved here.. Libni attended Texas Southern University, and is currently working toward a degree in business administration. He attends Eastern Gateway Community College, where he is a member of the Alpha Omicron Nu chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. He is a former track and field runner, and was an assistant coach for Plainfield’s varsity track team. Libni is a Christian believer, who worked with youth through his church, and is a former youth group leader.
Libni is a loving son, husband, and father of two. He believes in strong family values, and is a passionate advocate for higher education. Libni and his wife care about our community and are on the front lines of the COVID-19 virus. He currently works as a supervisor at a New Jersey supermarket chain and his wife is a registered nurse, who, in addition to working at a health center during the COVID 19 pandemic, is a Forensic Nurse for Union and Somerset Counties helping victims of sexual assault. She does all of this while pursuing her doctorate degree in nursing.
Libni is an advocate for, and lover of music and the fine arts, especially within our schools. He also enjoys reading, history, and documentaries.
